Full book design and cover illustration for Wildtopia, a photography book by Edy Purnomo shot across Indonesian zoos between 2014 and 2016. The work portrays an absurd, diminished reality: animals reduced, confined, stripped of meaning. To Edy, the zoo is both a critique and a last bastion against extinction.

Each letter of the title is formed from Edy's own field photographs, animals and botanicals assembled into type. Inside, the layout holds the photographs with room to breathe, letting the collage elements punctuate without competing.
